Student art will be on display form 6-8 PM at the Bathurst Heritage Museum on Douglas Avenue on Monday, June 17th.  Everyone should carve out some time to visit! 

On May 1, our school hosted the Regional Heritage Fair which had 11 projects representing our school. Overall winner was grade 6 Crystal Roy MacKenzie with a project on Stolen Children.  She will be heading to the Provincials in Shippegan.  Other major winners were as follows.

NB Historic Places Award : Robyn McLean

NB St Croix Award: Sabrina Landry

NB Labour History Award: Alyssa Branch

Canada's History Medal:  Hannah Young

NB Military History Award:  Teo Vanoplynus

Congratulations to those students who placed so well in the District Oratoire. Megan White, Elizabeth Borgela, Robyn McLean, Kristina Jean all came third in their divisions.  Second place finishers were Shelby Scott, MackKenzie Scott, and Kaylee Gauthier.  In first place finishes were Ben MacDonald, Megela Vanderplujm and Sean Lanteigne.

At the provincial speak off in Moncton on May 4 Superior had three provincial winners!!!  Congratulations goes to Kaylee Gauthier, MacKenzie Scott and Sean Lanteigne.

The annual Superior Middle School Heritage Fair was held on Wednesday, April 24th at SMS.  Over sixty projects were presented to a panel of judges and the overall winners were:

 

1st - Robyn McLean

2nd- Shelby Scott

3rd-Crystal Roy-MacKenzie

 

Other winners included Benjamin MacLeod, Sabrina Landry, Amy Rogers, Terry Lavigne, Teo Vanoplynus, Mackenzie Scott and Hannah Young.  Many thanks to our retired teachers who judged the fair and to Mr. Tulloch and his crew of teachers for a fantastic job!

It was a big week-end for the six participants at the River Valley Regional Science Fair.  Coming out on top with an overall grand prize was Taylor Godin and her project "Flame On."  She will now represent New Brunswick at the Canada Wide Science Fair which will be held later this month in Lethbridge, Alberta.  Also picking up hardware were:  Mackenzie Scott- Bronze, Sarah Decoste - Bronze, and Denver Daley - Silver.  Four out of the six participants got prizes.  Congratulations!!
