Speak Out Provincial Competition

Congratulations to Madison Nicol, Haley Pitre, Curtis Vandenbrand, and Emilie Risdon who placed in the district English speeches and poetry slam. They then traveled to Fredericton and participated in the provincial Speak Out competition. Great job!!

STEMfest 2016

On May 14th, at Miramichi Valley High School, ASD-N hosted STEMfest, ''a fun-filled day of learning with engaging, innovative, and creative hands-on activities for K-12 students, parents, and educators from Anglophone North School District''. Four students from SMS attended STEMfest, and they all won prizes for their science fair projects. Congrats to Tara Gover, who won a 3D printer, Soohyeon Kim, who won a talking and walking robot, Katherine Rogers, who won a Makey-Makey, and Emilie Risdon, who won an MBot!

FSL Provincial Oratory Competition Winners from SMS

Many SMS students traveled to Moncton on May 7th to compete in the FSL Provincial Oratory Competition and four of them won in their category.
